Iris halophila
I collected a single root of unknown iris in Stavropol region thinking that it could be one of spuria irises and most probably it is Iris notha. It was a very small root and after two years only I could see a first flower and suddenly it had yellow coloring. So I understood that I am owner a relatively rare in gardens Iris halophila. Now I have a beautiful curtain flowering very abundantly in the beginning of summer. Every stem has up to 5 elegant flowers. A propose the soil when I have found wild I. halophila did not contain any hint of salt. In Lithuania the plant shows the high level of toleration for climate and soil condition.
